Intro to Amigurumi Crochet
Want to learn how to crochet amigurumi? Come join us and explore the world of amigurumi and crochet your very own mythical jellyfish. This sweet little guy is a perfect piece to add those special hand dyed or art yarn scraps you can't part with. This is a 2hr beginner class - we will go through the main skills and provide you with the tools and knowledge to finish up on your own.
Finished Project: Amigurumi Jellyfish Plush
Skills needed: Basic knowledge of crochet (CH, SC)
Skills you will gain: double crochet, magic circle, crocheting in the round, increasing stitches, creating twists, adding safety eyes, sewing together doll parts, stuffing
Supplies: 1 Skein Bulky yarn (weight 5 or 6 ) in color of your choice, G/7 4.5mm crochet hook, Small scissors, Yarn needle, locking stitch marker, if you have ribbons and textured yarns in various weights at least 29” long please bring them.
12mm black circular safety eyes, Poly-fil can be purchased for $5 from FRF at the class.
At least 1 skein of class yarn must be purchased from Fox River Fibers. All supplies purchased for the class will be 10% off. Printed and electronic pattern will be provided.
Class size limit 6
We understand that this is an exciting class and we want to make it available to all! To have an optimal learning environment we need to limit the class size especially when children are attending so we ask if you're signing up a child ages 9-15 to use the appropriate listing so we can plan accordingly. Also children 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult who stays in the building for the duration of the class.

Shipping & Returns
We process orders for shipping Monday, Wednesday and Friday and they
will ship within 1-2 days of being placed. Most orders will ship USPS
unless expedited shipping is paid for at time of order. International
orders will ship via DHL. Standard USPS shipping is free on domestic
orders over $75, expedited shipping may be purchased at checkout.

In-store pick-up orders should be ready for pick-up the day the store
is open after you place it. You will receive a confirmation email when
it has shipped or is ready for pickup. If you wish to pick-up an order
in store sooner, please call the store.

Items may be returned for in-store credit or exchange. Returns must
be in original condition as sold - unused with all labels and packaging
intact and undamaged. Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by
since your purchase, we unfortunately can’t offer you an in-store credit
or exchange – it’s yours, enjoy! Orders shipped internationally cannot
be returned. Books, patterns, needles, notions, kits, sale items,
discontinued items and wound yarn are not returnable.

I went into the class with the very basic understanding of crochet and was surprised that 2 hours later I was 2/3 done with this little jellyfish. The pattern was easy to understand and the instructor juggled the participant skill levels so well. I would love to take more classes making similar creatures in the future. I was able to finish the project on my own at home within just a few days.
